This mint is also called common mint, garden mint, mackerel mint, and lamb mint.

Origin of Spearmint

The Metha Spicata mint originated in the 1st century AD and is considered native to Southern Temperate Asia and Europe. On the west, it is extended from Ireland to China on the eastern side.

Other than in Europe and southern Asia, this tea was also found in North America, South America, North Africa, and South Africa.
