What is Baht Oyunu About?
The movie is about Ada (Cemre Baysel), who is a beautiful young girl. She is brought up with the belief that if she isn’t married to her first love, she will be unhappy. This is because her past generations from her maternal side, including her mother, had been unhappy for their whole lives after their first love left them.
This superstition becomes heavy on Ada, who then is ready to do anything to get married to her first love. When she goes to Istanbul for her higher studies, she falls in love with Ruzgar (Idris Nebi Taskan), who is an international student from Albania.
Ada does everything in her power to maintain her relationship with her first love Ruzgar, and she even leaves her studies to take up a job to support his beau financially. They get married secretly, without Ada even telling her family about it. However, when Ruzgar becomes a Turkish citizen finally after three years of their marriage and the hard work of Ada, he suddenly abandons her.
Just then, Bora (Aytac Sasmaz) comes into her life. He is a rich, handsome man who is macho and impolite at first. While Ada continues working harder to protect her marriage with her first love Ruzgar (despite his complete uninterestedness), fate has some other twists and plans for her.
Ada starts working as Bora’s assistant to make a livelihood and also tries to win her first love back. So what happens to her love story? Twist of Fate is all about the complicated love life of Ada Tosun.
